Updated Dec. 15, 2021
The focus of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CLCs) is to provide expanded academic enrichment opportunities during out-of-school time to support in-school educational efforts.
In partnership with local youth serving and neighborhood agencies, Community Learning Centers (CLCs) increase student achievement and learning by offering engaging academic enrichment activities. Our CLCs are also safe, fun places for youth to learn and play throughout the year. The program provides positive after-school alternatives and serves as a safe haven.
CLCs offer educational, recreational, and social activities for youth and adults including:
- Youth Development Activities
- College and Career Readiness
- Social and Emotional Learning
- Technology Education
- Recreation Activities
- Family Engagement Activities
Funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Education and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, CLC programs may charge a nominal program fee. However, ability to pay is not a barrier to program participation. Scholarships may be available upon request.
