The focus of the Community Learning Centers (CLCs) is to provide expanded academic enrichment opportunities during out-of-school time to support in-school educational efforts.
CLC programs increase student achievement and learning by offering engaging academic enrichment activities. Our CLCs are also safe, fun places for youth to learn and play throughout the year. The program provides postive after-school alternatives and serves as a safe haven.
CLC program locations are open immediately after school (from 2:30-7 p.m. on weekdays), as well as from June-August for summer programming.
CLCs offer educational, recreational, and social activities for youth and adults including:
- Youth Development Activities
- College and Career Readiness
- Social and Emotional Learning
- Technology Education
- Recreation Activities
- Family Engagement Activities
Milwaukee-area community-based organizations work collaboratively with MPS to facilitate this program. For the latest information on programming, please contact the individual CLC. See the CLC site list for contact information.
