Gaenslen is the home of a Community Learning Center, swimming programs (infants to adults), therapeutic recreation's swim program for children (ages 3 and up), adaptive sports' Quad Rugby (ages 15 yrs. and up), and self-defense (adults). Programs may vary per season.
Gaenslen School is also the location of the Alice Bertschy Kadish Weaving Center.
Wisconsin Handweavers volunteers instructs the weaving classes, allowing the children to experience a new dimension in their exploration of art. Studio time is available to experienced weavers, for a fee. The Weaving Center is open year round during school hours.
Weaving classes, basket making and other fiber art classes are offered to adults, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Weaving classes and studio time are offered for beginners through intermediate weavers who learn to create a variety of projects on the loom. Educational seminars are available to weaving students.
