Outdoor Bootcamp at Custer Playfield

Free Summer Wellness


Summer registration opens on Thursday, April 28 at 10 a.m. for city of Milwaukee residents and Thursday, May 5 at 10 a.m. for non-residents.

Mil"WALK"ee Walking Club

Join our walking club and explore Milwaukee with us! Each week you will start at a local park or coffee shop, walk the roughly 3 miles, and end back at the same spot. The Walking Club meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from June 21 - Aug. 11. Participants must register for individual sessions. Programs are available for ages 18 and up.

Indoor Yoga

Release some stress in your life with the calming ritual of yoga. Yoga is a lifestyle incorporating natural exercise, diet, proper breathing, relaxation, and meditation. Wear comfortable clothing. Individuals with medical conditions should be cleared by a physician prior to participation. Bring your own exercise mat or purchase at site for $10. Programs are available for ages 18 and up.

Fitness in the Park Yoga

Practicing yoga outdoors has many benefits including increasing body awareness, strength, and flexibility while connecting you more deeply with nature. Join us for an outdoor yoga class that will take you through a series of poses and breath work.

Discover the joy of group bike rides on Milwaukee's best trails! Each session will include a 15-30 minute introduction on general bike safety & etiquette followed by a 90-minute group ride led by our experienced Ride Leaders. All rides will focus on bike trails with some street riding and will start/end at the same location. Rides are suitable for beginners to intermediate riders. Participants must provide their own bike & helmet. Ages 16 and up.

Community Bike Rides - Slow Roll

Join us for a casual, fun & family friendly bike ride as we stroll through different parts of Milwaukee! Special stops along the route to share unique outdoor experiences and interact with family and other participants. All rides will be geared towards beginners and families and will focus on bike trails with some street riding and will start/end at the same location. Children should be able to ride independently for at least 5 miles. Participants must provide their own bike & helmet.

“Spring” into riding shape as you explore Milwaukee’s iconic Hank Aaron State Trail. Enjoy a variety of environments ranging from urban, to river views to prairie and wooded surroundings. All rides will focus on bike trails with some street riding and will start/end at the same location. Rides are suitable for beginners to intermediate riders. Participants must provide their own bike & helmet. Ages 16 and up.

Community Bike Rides - Intermediate Rides

This 9-week group ride series is for intermediate/experienced cyclist looking to train for cycling events, build endurance and muscle strength. Rides will be two hours long using various routes with occasional stops to regroup. Each ride will begin with a review of group riding safety including road positioning, hand signaling, and communication.

Community Bike Rides - Bike "TOUR"nament

Join us for some quality family time with a bike ride and disc golf! All rides will be geared towards beginners and families and will focus on bike trails with some street riding and will start/end at the same location. Ride will include a 4-mile slow roll ride to Estabrook Park to play some disc golf (equipment will be provided).

Nordic Walking for Beginners

Nordic Walking uses specially designed poles to enhance your natural walking experience. With a technique that is a cross between cross-country skiing and power walking, Nordic Walking is an efficient total body cardiovascular exercise that can be enjoyed by all ages & fitness levels. Class is geared towards beginners and poles will be provided.

Summer Stretch

Join us outdoors this summer and experience the many benefits of stretching! Class will consist of a series of static and dynamic stretches for the entire body paired with mindful breathing. Stretching has multiple benefits including increased flexibility and balance, along with reducing join and muscle pain making everyday tasks easier. Come relax with us this summer!
