Organization for Active Seniors in Society (OASIS)

Milwaukee Recreation has new ways for seniors to stay active and spend time with community members!

Nestled on the south side of Milwaukee is the OASIS Community Center, one of Milwaukee's best kept secrets for active older adults. The OASIS offers a variety of programs and activities for ages 50 and up. Patrons from near and far come to enjoy the friendly atmosphere and excellent class schedule. Whether you are looking to get a good workout or learn a new language, this close-knit community provides a fun, social, and supportive environment for you.

Become an OASIS Member

You can become an OASIS member this season! A yearly membership is good for one year from the purchase date. Register for a membership in person at the OASIS. 

• $15 for city of Milwaukee residents
• $25 for non-residents

• Chair Yoga: available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (9-10 a.m. - members only)
• Outdoor Education Classes: offerings vary by season
• Computer Lab: open Monday-Friday (8 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
• Fitness Center: open Monday-Friday (8 a.m. - 3 p.m.). The fitness center includes compressed air resistance machines, treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bicycles, rowing machines, and free weights.
