Adaptive Athletics

The school-based MPS Adaptive Athletics program is a cross-categorical, competition-based athletics program for MPS students between ages 6-21 with a disability. The program targets individuals who have difficulty participating in regular education athletics, as they need adaptations in time, equipment, rules, and/or specific events.

Adult Sports

Adult Flag Football

Milwaukee Recreation offers a variety of adult sports leagues throughout the year. A player must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.

Elementary Sports

Brown Street Academy Students Play Ball Weekend

We have developed an innovative and progressive approach to the delivery of youth sports opportunities for elementary school children. Youth sports are more school driven with each school having all of the information in advance to facilitate planning for the upcoming season more efficiently.

Middle School

AT&T Volunteers at Gilbert Brown Football Camp

Schools across the city offer middle school athletics opportunities in sports like flag football, basketball, softball and more. We have developed an innovative and progressive approach to the delivery of youth sports opportunities for middle school students.

Lady Generals Track

The Athletic Department promotes the philosophy that an athlete’s core responsibilities involve pursuit of personal growth through academic work and team experiences. We recognize that athletic programming is an extension of academic and practical instruction.

Special Olympics

Special Olympics Basketball Game

Special Olympics Wisconsin is a statewide organization which provides our MPS students with a primary cognitive disability year-round sports training and athletic competition in competitions against other athletes from Wisconsin.
