Adaptive Athletics

Adaptive Athletics

The school-based MPS Adaptive Athletics program is a cross-categorical, competition-based athletics program for MPS students between ages 6-21 with a disability. The program targets individuals who have difficulty participating in regular education athletics, as they need adaptations in time, equipment, rules, and/or specific events.

Adult Sports

Adult Flag Football

Milwaukee Recreation offers a variety of adult sports leagues throughout the year. A player must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.

Late Night Leagues

Late Night Leagues offer a safe place for young adults age 17-29 to participate in either basketball or soccer leagues, while also connecting them with the many professional, leadership, and life services throughout Milwaukee.

Milwaukee City Conference

Milwaukee City Conference

Student-athletes are building friendships, learning new skills, and creating lifelong memories, all while competing at a high level in the Milwaukee City Conference.

MKE Mountain Bike

MKE MTB Racer

Milwaukee Recreation has teams at multiple sites to help middle school and high school students learn the sport of mountain bike racing. Athletes learn to ride a mountain bike through the woods, pedaling around rocks and roots on trails.

Rock Climbing Club

Rufus King Rock Climbing Club

Milwaukee Recreation's Rock Climbing Club is open to all city of Milwaukee residents, including both MPS and non-MPS students. Participants must be of high school age and currently enrolled in high school, and cannot attend a school that already has a designated team within the Wisconsin High School Climbing League (WHSCL).

Special Olympics

Special Olympics Basketball Game

Special Olympics Wisconsin is a statewide organization which provides our MPS students with a primary cognitive disability year-round sports training and athletic competition in competitions against other athletes from Wisconsin.

Twilight High School Boys & Girls Soccer League

High School Boys & Girls Soccer League

The boys and girls high school soccer leagues both begin on June 18.

Youth Sports

Youth Sports

All youth sports recreation leagues are for school-based teams only and are managed by Milwaukee Recreation. School leagues are offered for students in grades 1-8.
