The Recreation Coordinator of Playgrounds & Community Centers oversees a diverse array of recreation programs throughout the city of Milwaukee, including youth and adult recreation enrichment programs, summer playgrounds, mobile recreation units, community wellness programming, twilight centers for teens, late-night and twilight sports leagues, and special events. Key responsibilities include the management of 17 full-time staff, and more than 450 part-time staff, as well as program administration and evaluation, budget development and oversight, and facility management.

The interscholastic athletics supervisor plays a pivotal role in supporting Milwaukee Public Schools' extensive network of high school sports programs. Primary responsibilities include coordinating event ticket scheduling, hiring and managing event support staff, assigning officials, tracking participation, purchasing supplies, and providing on-site supervision of athletic events.
MPS sponsors a diverse range of high school athletic programs through the Milwaukee City Conference (MCC), including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track & field, wrestling, and volleyball, as well as cheerleading, available annually across its network of 21 high schools. Over 5,200 student-athletes actively participate in these programs, contributing to the vibrancy and competitive spirit of MPS.
