After-School Family Art Events

Family completing arts & crafts activities

This year, Milwaukee Recreation is launching a new program to support school-based family night events by providing more arts experiences at these gatherings while strengthening connections between schools and local arts partners.

Family Art Events are evening gatherings hosted at school sites across Milwaukee, with priority given to schools that have active after-school programs, including CLCs, Safe Places, and Camps. These events are designed to increase students’ and families’ exposure to art, foster meaningful connections, and strengthen partnerships between schools and their local creative communities. Each event will feature a 1–2 hour hands-on creative activity led by a local arts organization, fully funded by Milwaukee Recreation. Schools are in charge of planning and organizing the family event and providing support to arts partners during the activity.

If your school would like to incorporate a creative activity into one or more upcoming family events (mid-January–May), please complete the form below. This information will help us match your school with an arts partner.

Let’s make your family events a space for creativity, connection, and discovery!

Complete the form!

This form should be completed only by the school’s parent coordinator, CLC/Safe Place coordinator, camp director, or principal.

Each school should submit only one form.
