Halloween Glen

Halloween Glen

Join us for our 27th Annual Halloween Glen! Actors will present interactive and educational skits at eight decorated stations at Hawthorn Glen, Milwaukee Recreation’s 23-acre nature center.

This year’s theme is Nature Babies, a brand-new generation of cuddly creatures and adorable little sprouts. Explore unusual origins, journey back to the beginning and discover that nature is hatching more than a plan. It’s time to appreciate the small things. After your journey, children will receive a treat and a take home craft kit!

This humorous and educational outdoor adventure is a great alternative to the usual Halloween events!

Safety Measures

Face coverings are required for all participants and staff. If you are wearing a Halloween mask as part of your costume, please wear a traditional face covering under your mask as well.

Milwaukee Recreation will take necessary precautions to align with the Centers for Disease Control and/or City of Milwaukee Health Department recommendations. Precautions taken will include smaller group sizes, physical distancing, use of face coverings, and implementing additional cleaning protocols. Please note that recommendations may change as we approach the event.

New Transportation Information: To maximize social distancing, Milwaukee Recreation will not be using buses to transport registrants from the Central Services building to Hawthorn Glen. Instead, participants are asked to park in the Hawthorn Glen parking lot at 1130 N. 60th St.

Parking is limited so we recommend arriving no more than 20 minutes before your scheduled session. Street parking on N. 60th St. is not permitted.
