Milwaukee Public Schools has partnered with Concentra to offer free sports physicals for MPS high school athletes this season.
Review this document for all information regarding free physicals.
The following are a few of the Concentra Clinics that will provide free sports physicals for student-athletes:
Also, Milwaukee Public Schools and Children's Wisconsin are excited to announce a partnership to provide athletic training services at varsity athletic competitions, beginning with the fall 2023 sports season. Children’s Wisconsin athletic trainers will be available on the sidelines for MPS Interscholastic Athletics home varsity soccer, football, basketball, wrestling, and track competitions, as well as select junior varsity competitions. Additional sports will be added in the near future.
Athletic trainers from Children’s Wisconsin bring experience in supporting both the physical health and mental wellbeing of student-athletes. In addition to their expertise in proper fitting and removal of equipment, weather policies, sports performance, nutrition and injury rehabilitation, athletic trainers also have the ability to connect students with sports psychologists and other crucial mental health resources. Future plans also include providing student access to athletic trainers during and after the school day at various MPS high schools.
Please call the MPS Athletics Weather Hotline at 414-475-8068 for news on inclement weather. It will be updated by 1 p.m. on game days.
