Our Mission: To improve the quality of life for children, youth, and adults with disabilities, and their families, through recreational and educational experiences.
Milwaukee Recreation's Therapeutic Recreation program offers activities specifically for individuals with disabilities ages 3 and up. Classes are offered throughout the year at various locations in the city of Milwaukee. Participants are given the opportunity to recreate in a wide variety of activities with outstanding staff members to guide them to success.
Are you ready for the summer?
Join Club Rec. for a fun-filled summer of thrilling adventures and exciting activities for special education students and their siblings. Students from ages 3-21 will dabble in art, cook up a snack, plus much more! A free lunch is provided to all students. Transportation is only provided for students enrolled in ESY (Extended School Year).

Club Rec. for ESY Students only (bussing provided) Monday - Friday: 12-4 p.m. The afternoon recreation program is available to all special needs/exceptional education students enrolled in the morning Extended School Year (ESY) program. Children must meet certain criteria to participate in ESY.
ESY requires a separate registration form. Please contact your child's classroom teacher for additional ESY information and form. Transportation is provided for students to return home if they are enrolled in and bussed to the morning ESY program and enrolled in the afternoon Club Rec. program at the same location.
Club Rec for Non-ESY Students (no transportation provided)
Monday - Friday
Program hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The morning will be geared toward education and community skills, while the afternoon is filled with recreation activities. Free lunch is provided. The program is available to all special needs/exceptional education students and their siblings. There is no transportation provided.

Cost varies with each program. Students ages 3-21 who qualify for the Reduced Activity Fee are eligible for a 50 percent discount on program fees. Discount applies only to city of Milwaukee residents.
