Register for the 26th annual Halloween Glen!

Join us for our 26th annual Halloween Glen! This humorous and educational outdoor adventure is a great alternative to the usual Halloween events!

This year’s theme is Nature’s Performers, a chorus of creatures that sing, dance and act. Meet animals that perform to survive; facing thrills, chills, adventure and romance. Discover dramas in the dark, musicals in meadows, and pretenders in the prairie.

Costumed actors set up eight non-scary skits along the luminaria-lighted trails of Hawthorn Glen , Milwaukee Recreation’s 23-acre nature center. The event also gives kids the opportunity to show off their costumes, sit by the fire, watch classic Halloween cartoons, and create their own masterpieces at the arts and crafts table.

• Friday, Oct. 11: 5:45-8:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 12: 4:30-8 p.m.*

Location

• Hawthorn Glen

• All participants will board a bus at MPS Central Services, 5225 W. Vliet St. (rear parking lot) and travel to Hawthorn Glen. There will be no parking at Hawthorn Glen. An on-going bus shuttle service will be provided for you to return to MPS Central Services at the end of your tour.

*4:30 p.m. tour on Saturday is the Tyke Hike, which is a shorter trail intended for younger children.
