Milwaukee Recreation and the Medical College of Wisconsin have partnered to provide the community with Total Wellness, a program focused on health, wellness, and cancer prevention!
This is a community-based nutrition and physical activity program that adheres to the evidence-based American Cancer Society Nutrition and Physical Activity Guidelines for Cancer Prevention. Short-term goals for the program include improved nutrition and physical activity. Long-term goals include reduced cancer and chronic disease risk, as well as improved quality of life.
Build muscle, get fit, and learn to cook to help prevent cancer! Total Wellness teaches easy ways to live a healthy lifestyle. Classes meet twice a week.
The first meeting includes interactive fun focused on cancer prevention, your lifestyle (including cooking!), and group fitness. The second weekly meeting is a group fitness class.
Total Wellness is for all fitness levels - we meet you where you are.
