Milwaukee Recreation provides educational, recreational, and cultural enrichment activities for participants during the school year and summer at schools through before- & after-school camps. All program locations are designed to keep children safe, provide engaging activities, and relieve stress for working families.
Our qualified staff members at all Child Care Camps foster an environment to promote creativity, expand knowledge, and offer a safe place for students to be themselves. Child Care Camps are affordable and Wisconsin Shares child care reimbursements are accepted.
Milwaukee Recreation partners with multiple local youth-serving agencies to provide expanded academic enrichment opportunities during out-of-school time at Community Learning Centers.
In partnership with local youth-serving and neighborhood agencies, CLCs increase student achievement and learning by offering engaging academic enrichment activities. Our CLCs are also safe, fun places for youth to learn and play throughout the year. The program provides positive out-of-school alternatives for Milwaukee's youth.
Milwaukee Recreation and community-based organizations provide young people with academic enrichment, health and nutrition, social competence, and recreation at Safe Places throughout the city.
Under the direction of trained staff from agency partners, Safe Places provide youth with opportunities to engage in educational and social enrichment activities, and play in safe environments. Safe Places also support families by providing opportunities for parent involvement in various activities and social events.
