The "Cleanup" is Milwaukee's largest litter cleanup and community improvement program. As part of the nationwide Great American Cleanup effort (in conjunction with Keep America Beautiful), the event promotes environmental awareness while keeping litter and graffiti off the streets.
CANCELED 2021
An annual event each April that happens at Hawthorn Glen, the cleanup attracts over 100 enthusiastic volunteers each year to help us put litter and nature back in place. Whether you are an individual, a family, a scout troop, a civic organization, or a group of friends, your help is needed.
All participants will receive coupons to several Milwaukee County attractions!
Help clean for as long as you like (but at least 1 hour).
The Great American Cleanup is sponsored by Milwaukee Recreation, Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful (KGMB), and Milwaukee County Parks.
For more information, please contact 414-647-6043, email (Nicole [at] mkerec.net), or simply show up and lend a hand!
