Pitch, Hit & Run

BaseballMilwaukee Recreation will be hosting the 2019 MLB Pitch, Hit & Run™ Competition, the official skills competition of Major League Baseball®.

This program is designed to provide kids with an opportunity to compete, FREE of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills. Please contact the Youth Sports Office with any questions at 414-475-8906.

  • How accurate is your throw?
  • How far can you hit?
  • How fast can you run?

Scotts Pitch, Hit & Run is a FREE program for 7-14 year olds.

Pitch: Throwing a baseball at a designated "Strike Zone" 45 feet away.

Hit: Hitting a baseball from a stationary tee, as close as possible to the "center line" (directly away from home plate across second base into center field). Final score is determined from the location the ball initially lands, minus the distance from the "center line."

Run: Measuring a competitor's speed in a sprint between second and third base, around third, and across home plate. Sliding is not allowed, and both third base and home must be touched (160 feet total).
