Milwaukee Recreation and the Epic Center Community Organization teamed up to bring a neighborhood ice rink back to Burnham Playfield.
Due to heating issues in the fieldhouse, the Burnham Ice Rink is closed for the season. Below are some ice skating alternative options.
January 1 - season close*
Monday - Thursday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday - Saturday: 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
* Starting February 1, skate rentals begin at 2 p.m. Monday - Thursday

Open Skate Nights
A limited number of skates are available for adults and 3rd-8th grade students to borrow for free on-site. If you would like to donate skates for the Burnham ice rink this winter, stop by Milwaukee Public Schools' central office, located at 5225 W. Vliet St. Any kind of skates will be accepted and are appreciated!
A warming house at Burnham has refreshments, including hot chocolate, available for a nominal charge.
Pond Hockey League
Milwaukee Recreation hosts a pond hockey league.
This drop-in program will be free and open to all ages and ability levels; no experience is necessary. Participants are asked to bring their own hockey gear. A limited number of sticks will be available to borrow on-site. For more information, please call (414) 647-6046.
